Interviews in dieser Dokumentation mit Jane Golden (Wand Künste Philadelphia), Pose 2 (weiterer Wand-Künstler), sein Sohn Troy und Freunden zeigen verschiedene Facetten dieses Mannes und wie er dazu beitrug eine weltweite kulturelle Bewegung zu etablieren.
This documentary chronicles the life of Philadelphia-based legend Darryl “Cornbread” McCray, the man credited as being the father of modern day graffiti and hip hop.
Cry of the City... profiles Cornbread’s life, from growing up tagging walls to the ups and downs that led to his dedication as a social worker and father.
Interviews throughout the documentary with Jane Golden (Philadelphia Mural Arts), Pose 2 (another wall-writer), his son Troy, and friends show different facets of the man and how he helped establish a world-wide cultural movement.
